President/CEO Matthew Mace Featured as Western Michigan University Young Alumni Spotlight

Although Matt Mace graduated with his BBA in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems in 1998, his aspirations for success in the business world started much earlier. Matt was still in high school when he started his first business and while he was working on his undergraduate degree at WMU, he and a business partner launched BlueGranite, an Information Technology Firm.
In 2006, Matt acquired sole ownership of BlueGranite, now a multi-million dollar I.T. consulting company with expertise in business intelligence. As President and CEO of BlueGranite, Matt claims, “Entrepreneur isn't something you do, or even something you become. It's an attitude that defines how you approach your life's work.” Over the last ten years the company has grown by helping clients grow through the increased use of efficient technology. An inaugural member of Michigan's Top 50 Companies to Watch, BlueGranite is now one of the top I.T. consulting firms in the region. It has been named a West Michigan "101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.”
In 2004, Matt was recognized among Business Review's Top 40 Leaders Under 40. Matt is also serving as President of the West Michigan Chapter of the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners, a member of the WMU Computer Information Systems Advisory Board, a member of the KVCC New Media Center Advisory Board, and an instructor with Junior Achievement. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration at the University of Michigan
