Free 1-Day Azure Databricks Workshop

Minneapolis, MN | September 12, 2019

Azure Databricks is a powerful and easy-to-use service in Azure for data engineering, data science, and AI. It provides a collaborative environment where data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts can work together in a secure interactive workspace. Built on Apache Spark, Azure Databricks is capable of processing and modeling data of all sizes and shapes, and it integrates seamlessly with other Azure services such as Data Lake Store, SQL Data Warehouse, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, and Data Factory.

Join BlueGranite, Microsoft, and Databricks for a 1-day immersive experience into Azure Databricks. This free, all-day session will provide attendees with a strong understanding of the Azure Databricks platform and hands-on experience in a live notebook environment.

Technologies covered include Azure Databricks, Spark, Machine Learning, Delta Lake, MLFlow. Content is intended for Architects, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and VPs of Analytics.

Participants should be familiar with Spark and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, and/or SQL). Workshop content presumes a 200-level of architectural expertise of infrastructure and solutions design in this domain.

In this workshop you will learn how to:

  • Connect to structured and unstructured data.
  • Reliably consume data in motion with structured streaming.
  • Manage data repositories with Delta Lake.
  • Build high-powered machine learning models with SparkML.
  • Manage and deploy models with MLFlow.
